For all is a simple but powerful phrase. Without it, the Y mission is incomplete. Our commitment to inclusion creates better communities and a better world.
We believe everyone should have the resources to learn, grow and thrive – regardless of age, income or background. This year, the Y will provide services to more than 37,500 people in over 70 locations.
Read the stories below to see how the Y has impacted the lives of children and families thanks to financial support from generous donors like you!
“As a single mother who works full time, the Y has been such a blessing. They treat my children like their own.” -Porchia
In search of a better life for her family, Porchia, a single working mother of three, moved from Camden to Moorestown six years ago. But, in order for Porchia to provide for her family, she needed reliable, quality child care while she was at work. Enter the YMCA. Porchia was relieved to learn the Y offered before and afterschool care at her son Moises’ school. She also enrolled her daughter Jaida into full day care at the Mt. Laurel YMCA Child Care.
Emaline has been a part of Primetime School Age Child Care for 3 years, starting when she was just 6 years old. Her parents needed reliable afterschool care for Emaline while they were at work and were grateful to learn the Y offered it at her school. In addition to the loving and caring environment, another big benefit of the Y’s afterschool care is the dedicated homework time which enables Emaline’s family to spend quality time together in the evenings.
Please make a gift today to ensure 1 in 3 people we serve have access to Y programs and services they would otherwise do without.
