Women’s Opportunity Center

The YMCA of Burlington County’s Women's Opportunity Center (WOC) assists women who have lost financial support due to separation, divorce, death or disability of a spouse. Funded by a state grant, the WOC helps women get back on the track toward economic self-sufficiency.

Free Services Include ...
  • Educational and vocational information
  • Interest and aptitude testing
  • Community referrals
  • Empowerment
  • Job search skills: assistance with resume writing and interview techniques
  • Job placement assistance
  • Life skills workshops

Life Skills Workshops
Women’s Opportunity Center workshops focus on interview skills, finding the power within themselves, and the legal implications of separation and divorce or bankruptcy. A deeper search for positive change can be found in a 10-workshop series that explores the family system, character flaws, healthy healing, personal fulfillment and balance.
