Volunteer With the Y
A volunteer partnership with the Y is not just a promise to serve, but also a promise to deliver positive personal and social changes. We offer opportunities for business leaders, community members, parents, teens and individuals to give back and support their neighbors.
By volunteering, you are giving men, women and children of all ages and from all backgrounds the resources and support needed to learn, grow and thrive.
Who is a Y Volunteer?
Committee Volunteers:
Volunteers who individually or as part of a group advise either management or program staff.
Policy Volunteers:
Volunteers on the Board of Directors and/or its communities who advise staff on policies, and monitor and evaluate the work of the YMCA.
Volunteers for Credit:
Provide school-required volunteer services.
Fundraising Volunteers:
Volunteers who participate in fundraising for the Y’s Strong Kids Annual Campaign or Capital Campaigns.
Program Volunteers
Provide enhancement to activities designed to meet the needs and interests of the members, program participants and youth – such as youth sports coaches, member service volunteers, etc.
Interns.
The YMCA believes that an on-the-job experience will benefit the student, the community, and the Y. An internship with the Y offers a unique experience where college students can interact with business leaders, learn the ins-and-outs of a non-profit and help to give back to the community.

Proceeds from our Annual Antique Show support the Strong Kids Campaign and provide scholarships to local high school students as they venture off to college.
Membership is open to men and women who value and support the Y mission. Our club meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Mt. Laurel YMCA – for lunch and a short community or educational program.
