Your Gift Can Change A Life


In 2010 we’ve heard countless stories that are hard to forget.  Many tell of hardship: of families losing significant income when a loved one loses a job, of schools forced to cut arts and physical education classes because there is no money for supplies.  And yet for every tale of loss that we hear, there is another and more powerful story of the generosity and resolve of our local communities.  These are the stories of simple gifts that change lives; stories of adults volunteering to mentor a struggling child, of teens choosing to play basketball after school rather than choosing to be on the streets.   

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties is committed to realizing community success stories.  Our goal is to make certain that every child and family can benefit from the Y’s quality services regardless of their ability to pay.  By donating to the Strong Kids Campaign, you help us to distribute approximately $3.5 million in financial aid to over 15,500 youth and families each year.  A strong financial assistance program is one of the diverse ways we enact the power of the YMCA’s central character values: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Caring.

To give a gift is to change a life.  Give a toddler the chance to be kindergarten-ready through YMCA preschool.  Give a teen the belief in the possibility of college through the YMCA Achievers program.  You can create these new success stories through the Strong Kids Campaign.  The legacy of your contribution will be remembered in every strong kid, strong family, and strong community the YMCA helps to impact.
