Special Olympics
Special Olympics are open to Burlington and Camden County residents who have developmental and/or physical disabilities. To register please email Amanda Lokken at amandal@ymca-bc.org.
- For ages 8 and up.
- YMCA Program membership required.
- Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool.
- Assistance into the pool is available.
- Limited to 30 swimmers.
- Held at the Mt. Laurel Branch only.
Competitions
Swimmers will compete in one tri-meet, one sectional meet and the New Jersey State Olympic Games. The state games are held at the College of New Jersey over a three-day weekend and include opening and closing ceremonies and the presentation of gold, silver and bronze medals.
